October 15, 2024 - Universal Customer Agreement (UCA) - The Universal Customer Agreement has been updated.


October 15, 2024 - End User License Agreement (EULA) - The End User License Agreement has been updated.


September 6, 2024 - Academic Supplemental Terms (ACAD) - Additional terms were added to support academic licensing of PLM Component software development kits and some clarifications were made to the publication requirement for using academic offerings for research and development activities.


June 21, 2024 - Software as a Service Supplemental Terms (SaaS)

Additional Offerings (Industrial Engineering Copilot, SINEC Security Guard, Senseye, SIWA Leak Finder) reference added to product specific deviations of Support and Service Level section as well as the Available Areas section.


June 17, 2024 - Cloud Support and Service Level Framework (Cloud SLA)

The framework hass been updated, including its service and support levels. Additionally, the new framework allows for service levels and technical support levels to be on different tiers for the same offering.


June 10, 2024 - Embedded Supplemental Terms (EMB-IES, or EMB-EPS)

The Definition in section 2.4(i) for Development license for Software products which have been assigned the alphanumeric code EMB-IES on the Order has been modified to delete the following language: “integrating it into moving machinery or any test version thereof.”


June 5, 2024 - Mendix Supplemental Terms (MX, MDX, or MNDX)

Updated and enhanced to align with the continuous development of the Mendix Platform. These updates consider various deployment scenarios for customers’ applications. Changes include clarifications regarding platform usage and use of applications, cloud locations available for both Mendix Cloud and Mendix Platform, and the inclusion of additional ISO certifications. We also provide references and details about our security portal, where customers can access and verify relevant assurance reports, bridge letters, and certifications. And we’ve adjusted the scope and applicability of maintenance, support services, and service levels.

Industrial Asset Hub reference added to Support and Service Level section as well as the Available Areas section.


February 1, 2024 – Hardware Supplemental Terms (HW)

Clarifications to Section 4.3 (Third Party Hardware Warranty) pertaining to warranty provided by Siemens on a few selected third party hardware products and to Sub-Section 7.2.1(b) (Maintenance Types) under Section 7 (Specific Maintenance Terms) to specify where details can be found on Siemens’ ISO certifications.


November 15, 2023 – End User License Agreement (EULA)

A cross-reference in Section 7 (Export Control and Sanction Compliance) has been updated in several language versions of the EULA.


November 1, 2023 - Software-as-a-Service Supplemental Terms (SaaS)

COMOS Walksinside reference added to Support and Service Level section as well as the Available Areas section.


October 1, 2023 - Industrial Edge Supplemental Terms (IE)

The new Industrial Edge Supplemental Terms introduce the new Industrial Edge Offering SIMATIC Project SDC and contain some editorial changes (renaming of Industrial Edge Management as a Service to Industrial Edge Management Cloud).


July 15, 2023 - Mentor Graphics Systems Products Supplemental Terms (MGSP), Process Automation Supplemental Terms (PSE or PA)

A new “Per Asset” licensing model is introduced for some of our MGSP Offerings and PA Offerings.


May 1, 2023 - – End User License Agreement (EULA)

The EULA has been updated to version 8.1.


May 1, 2023 - Motion Control Supplemental Terms

The Motion Control Supplemental Terms were updated to clarify the conditions under which Machine Builders can pass on licenses for Motion Control Software that is combined with their own product(s) to their end-customers. Additionally, the product-specific software maintenance terms for Motion Control Software have now been incorporated into the Supplemental Terms.


April 26, 2023 - MindSphere Supplemental Terms

The MindSphere Supplemental Terms (alphanumeric code MSPH) were updated to reflect the new product name of Insights Hub.


April 1, 2023 – Product lifecycle Management Supplemental Terms (PLM)

PLM Supplemental Terms has been updated to clarify the current “Authorized User” definition and add the term “Customer Subsidiaries”.


April 1, 2023 – Universal Customer Agreement (UCA)

The Universal Customer Agreement has been updated.


April 1, 2023 – Acceptable Use Policy

In Section 6, the reference to on-premises audits for contract compliance has been removed. In Section 7, the reference to the DMCA copyright policy has been made more generic.


March 22, 2023 - Industrial Edge Supplemental Terms (IE)

New licensing models and new prerequisites are being introduced for some Industrial Edge offerings. Additionally, the definition of Authorized User has been expanded to allow use of the offerings by and for the benefit of customer affiliates.


March 20, 2023 - EDA Supplemental Terms (EDA)

Preamble of the EDA Supplemental Terms has been updated to clarify that an Order may include the EDA alphanumeric code to accommodate legacy quoting systems and contracting vehicles which do not use alphanumeric codes.


March 1, 2023 - Software-as-a-Service Supplemental Terms (SaaS)

A new “Per Asset” business model is introduced for some of our SaaS offerings.
Additionally, some clarifications are made regarding the available data storage location options for our SaaS offerings and regarding the scope of the maintenance and support services for AX4 and Supply Chain Suite cloud services.


February 1, 2023 - Hardware Supplemental Terms (HW)

The maintenance and support services terms for hardware are now fully incorporated into the Hardware Supplemental Terms, instead of the reference to a separate Hardware Maintenance Services Terms document. Furthermore, clarifications were made to the Calibration service definition to inform customers of the option to purchase a special “ISOCAL” calibration service and what that entails. Also, the definition of “Warranty Extension” services was replaced with “Hardware Maintenance” services, although both cover essentially the same services and achieve the same goal.


October 20, 2022 - Software-as-a-Service Supplemental Terms (SaaS)

Section 5 (Support and Service Levels) was updated to reflect the name change from Asset Performance Suite to APS and to provide a few minor deviations from the standard support and service level terms for the new offerings AX4, SCS and Simatic AX that have been recently added to Siemens’ portfolio.


May 27, 2022 - Data Privacy Terms

Clause 7 (International Data Transfers) and 16 (Definitions) have been revised to better reflect the application of the individual modules of the Standard Contractual Clauses EU/UK. Version 2.2 does not contain any content related changes compared to the previous version, and is limited to linguistic adjustments to increase readers' understanding.


April 1, 2022 - Data Privacy Terms

Added the UK standard data protection clauses adopted by the UK Information Commissioner Office as transfer safeguard for UK personal data. These new clauses allow organizations to rely on the European  Commission´s newest version of the standard contractual clauses, as for the rest of Europe. 


March 22, 2022 – Electronic Design Automation Supplemental Terms (EDA)

Preamble of the EDA Supplemental Terms has been updated to clarify that an Order may include the EDA alphanumeric code to accommodate legacy quoting systems and contracting vehicles which do not use alphanumeric codes.


February 15, 2022 - Simcenter Supplemental Terms (SIM-CDA, SIM-LMS, SIM-TASS)

A new license type has been introduced - Power Session Plus - which allows the use of GPU cores to run Sessions. Additionally, a clarification on permitted worldwide use of POD licenses was added.


July 19, 2021 - Any Supplemental Terms
This update allows for the terms to be referenced by the Universal Customer Agreement. Supplemental Terms for our on-premises software portfolio have been amended to cater for subscriptions to XaaS offerings that contain Cloud Services. The Maintenance Terms for Software and Hardware, as well as the Cloud Services Support Terms & Service Levels Framework, have been incorporated in relevant Supplemental Terms via weblink.


July 19, 2021 – Mendix Platform Supplemental Terms (MX)
The Supplemental Terms for the Mendix Platform will no longer be used. Orders for Mendix Platform offerings will be governed by the Universal Customer Agreement together with the new Mendix Supplemental Terms (alphanumeric code: MDX) and related terms, as referenced in the relevant order.


July 19, 2021 – SISW Cloud Services Agreement
The SISW Cloud Services Agreement will no longer be used (including any of its Supplemental Terms and other document referenced therein). Orders for cloud services previously in the scope of the SISW Cloud Services Agreement will be governed by the Universal Customer Agreement (UCA) and the newly released SaaS Supplemental Terms (alphanumeric code: SAAS), as referenced in the relevant order.


July 19, 2021 - Any Product-Specific Maintenance Terms
This update allows for the terms to be referenced by the Universal Customer Agreement (UCA). Where required, we also updated the web links included in the documents.
